October 2000, Mohamad al Durra dies in the arms of his
father in Palestine. His picture is broadcasted all
over the world on tv.
The death of this Palestinian child is seen by millions
of people in the Arab world, and has a special impact
on Arabic children, (in Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan,
Egypt) who express their anger in a very extraordinary
way: some of them join demonstrations, and others leave
their houses and try to reach the border with Palestine/Israel
in order to join the Intifada.
Trough a journey she makes following these children,
in Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt, the director, a Maronite
Christian who was born and raised in Lebanon all her
life and who lived the Lebanese war, rediscover her
childhood and begin questioning her relationship and
position with the Arab world, and within the different
factions (religious and political) in Lebanon.
