The film is a journey to the four corners of Morocco, a journey into the daily lives of Moroccan women in various situations. These are the women who are never given the chance to be heard, and yet who represent the majority: country dwellers, workers, city women from poor neighborhoods, etc. They share their worries, their hopes, their will to resist and to bring about change.

The multiple portraits of these women make up the main body of the film.

The women we meet along our journey help enlighten us as to the situation of Moroccan women under the Personal Status Code.

The film draws out the issues at stake in an Islamic country determined to adopt the democratic model advocated by the West, but whose development is hindered by the status of its women.
